Firm Profile
Bříza & Trubač is an independent Czech law firm established in 2013. The team consists of eight lawyers, most of them have studied abroad and are graduates of prestigious universities such as University of Cambridge, New York University, Georgetown University, etc. and have been awarded various awards, prizes, scholarships and honors.

Our legal experts have a wide expertise in all areas of commercial law, contracts, corporate law, disputes (including arbitrations, mediations and bankruptcy proceedings), competition law, labour law, data protection law and regulatory substance and process. We have a special (and in many respects unparalleled among law firms in the Czech Republic) knowledge of EU law, international arbitration, cross-border transactions, tax law and energy law.

Our clients are Czech and international companies from different economic sectors: banks, engineering enterprises, various providers of services, construction companies, energy sector companies, etc. We are also frequently engaged as local counsel – we have assisted foreign law firms (including Italian law firms) in cases of commercial transactions, litigation, arbitration, business regulation, but also family law and other civil law matters. In fact, the Czech Republic has had a brand-new Civil Code effective since 2014 and we pride ourselves to be on the forefront of both advising clients and doing academic research in various issues that have arisen of this little legal revolution in our country.

We have represented our clients not only before various Czech courts and public administrative bodies, but also in ICC, LCIA and ICSID arbitrations, before the EU Court of Justice or the General Court of the EU, and also in regulatory and complaints proceedings before the European Commission. We have negotiated contracts in values of billions CZK.
