June 2021: Erickson Sederstrom (Nebraska) announced that William T. Foley has been elected President and CEO of the Firm.  Bill is joined on the Management Team by Bonnie Boryca, Vice President, Andrew Collins, Treasurer, and Heather Veik, Secretary.   

March 2021: Erickson Sederstrom (Nebraska) announced that Matthew D. Quandt has been elected as Partner. His practice focuses on civil litigation, including catastrophic injury and wrongful death, trucking and transportation, construction defect, product liability, and professional liability. Shay Garvin has also been elected a Partner. Shay has been with the firm since 2019 and focuses his practice on transactional areas, including mergers and acquisitions, business formation, securities offerings, debt and equity financing, and general counsel. 

December 2019: Blake Schneiderwind has joined Nebraska member firm Erickson | Sederstrom as an associate, where he represents corporate clients in all aspects of business, from formation and start-up to mergers and acquisitions, and general counsel matters. Mr. Schneiderwind also helps clients in the healthcare field in the areas of licensure, compliance, and data privacy and security. He is a graduate of the Creighton University School of Law, where he was a member of its International Trademark Association moot court team.

September 2019: Shay Garvin has joined Nebraska member firm Erickson Sederstrom as an associate representing clients in a variety of transactional areas, including mergers and acquisitions, business formation, securities offerings, and debt and equity financing. He also has extensive experience advising clients in real estate transactions, including commercial warehouse, office and land leases and real property acquisitions, sales and development. He has an M.B.A. from the University of Nebraska and a J.D. from the University of Nebraska College of Law.

August 2019: Matthew Quandt has joined Nebraska member firm Erickson Sederstrom as an associate in the firm’s litigation practice group. He received his law degree from Washburn University School of Law. Before joining the firm, Mr. Quandt practiced law in Kansas City, representing clients in both state and federal trials. He focuses his practice on litigation, including catastrophic injury and wrongful death, trucking and transportation, construction defect, employment, product liability, and professional liability, including engineers and architects. 

November 2018: Cory Wilson has joined Nebraska member firm Erickson Sederstrom where he will focus his practice on litigation including construction law, workers compensation, property disputes property damage, personal injury, and commercial real estate. He is a graduate of Creighton University School of Law. Prior to obtaining his law degree, Mr. Wilson worked in the oil and construction industries.

March 2018:  It is with sadness and regret that we report the passing March 7th of Nebraska member firm Erickson Sederstrom partner and former Nebraska governor Charley Thone at the age of 94. He was among the original 17 governors who founded SCG Legal in 1989. A four-term congressman from Nebraska’s 1st congressional district, Governor Thone was elected to his state’s highest office in 1978. As governor, he focused his efforts primarily on education, agricultural marketing and economic development. “In my view, Charley was one of Nebraska’s best governors,” said Judge Arlen Beam of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 8th Circuit. “He served in a period of economic uncertainty, especially in the farm economy, a matter not within the control of state government, and he moved the state forward with hard work, skill and dexterity.”

February 2018: Michelle Elkin has joined Nebraska member firm Erickson Sederstrom as an associate. Her practice will focus on estate and gift planning, trust administration, probate of client estates, and federal and state taxation plans. Ms. Elkin is a graduate of the University of Nebraska College of Law.  

May 2017: Daniel Dittman of Nebraska member firm Erickson Sederstrom has been named a partner in the firm. Mr. Dittman’s practice focuses on estate, probate and trust law. He is a graduate of Creighton University School of Law.
