SCG and Hall & Wilcox are planning a special Saturday excursion for anyone staying through the weekend! Join us for a relaxed day exploring some of Melbourne’s must-see spots, or take a trip to the horseracing tracks. Option 1 – Australian Icon Tour
Join the tour to meet some of Australia’s unique animals followed by a drive to the coast to see the famous, vibrant Brighton Bath Boxes. Afterwards there will be refreshments at The Esplanade, St. Kilda (The Espy), which is well known for its live music and great pub vibes.
Time:
12:30pm – pick up from The Langham
1:15pm – guided tour of Melbourne Zoo to meet some unique Australian animals
2:15pm – head to the coast to see the Brighton Bath Boxes
3:15pm – learn the history and photo opp of the Brighton Bath Boxes
3:45pm – coach to The Espy, St Kilda for some refreshments
5:30pm – either stay at the Espy or coach back to The Langham
6:00pm – arrive at The Lanham
What to bring: hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, bottle of water, suitable shoes to walk on the sand
Option 2 – A day at Flemington Races – TAB Australian Cup Day
Flemington Racecourse is home to the World-renowned Melbourne Cup held on the first Tuesday in November each year. While not the Melbourne Cup, the TAB Australia Cup will be held on 28 March at Flemington, and Hall & Wilcox can host up to twenty visitors in the Victoria Racing Club Members facility for the afternoon.
Attendees will meet in the foyer of the Langham around 11:30 am (to be confirmed) and walk to Flinders St Station to catch the train direct to Flemington. We will have organized entrance to the course itself and general admission to the Members stand. There are plenty of food and drink options in and out of the Members area for guests to utilize and of course access to betting facilities and Grandstand seating during the races. After the races we will catch the train back to Flinders St and should be back at the Langham by 6:30pm-7:00pm.

11:30am – meet in the foyer of The Langham for Mark Dunphy to guide you to the train station to Flemington Racecourse. Enjoy the races!

Registration Cancellation Policy: Registration cancellation requests must be submitted via email to Alina Gorokhovsky (agorokhovsky@scglegal.com). Any cancellations received on/by March 19, 2026 (a week before the meeting) will be refunded the registration fee minus a $50 administrative fee. No refunds will be issued on/after March 20, 2026. Registrations not refunded can be applied to a future in-person meeting.
