AGM Abogados (Spain) announced the launch of their new ESG – Regulatory Compliance and Sustainability practice area. The new practice is is led by Marta Salvador Mateo, lawyer in the Immigration area, and Héctor Déniz Guedes, Head of the Penal and Compliance area.

Hall & Wilcox (Australia: Melbourne) announced the firm’s Corporate and Commercial team assisted the National Football League (NFL) with its recently announced arrangements to establish an NFL Academy on the Gold Coast, Queensland. The new arrangements involve the NFL partnering with A B Paterson College on the Gold Coast to establish and operate an American football development program servicing the APAC region. The NFL Academy will operate from a new purpose-built facility at A B Paterson College’s Gold Coast campus and offer student athletes aged 12-18 the opportunity to combine their school education with a life skills program and intensive training in American football under the guidance of professional coaches and educators. The Hall & Wilcox team was led by Martin Ross and Mark Lebbon.

AGM Abogados (Spain) announced María Eugenia Blasco Rodellar, Partner of the Immigration and International Mobility practice, has been appointed as the Co-Director of the AGM Abogados offices in Madrid. She will hold the position with the current office Director, Julio Rocafull Rodríguez. The firm also announced the addition of Vanesa Alarcón Caparrós in the new Technology, Media, and Telecommunications (TMT) area of the firm.

CNPLaw (Singapore) announced they have been ranked in Benchmark Litigation Asia-Pacific 2024 rankings for the seventh consecutive year. They have received recognition in multiple categories, including: Commercial and Transactions, Construction, Family and Matrimonial, International Arbitration – Domestic Firms, Insolvency, and Private Client. Subramanian Pillai who heads the Construction, Engineering & Infrastructure Projects Practice Group was recommended as a Litigation Star for Singapore in the practice area of Construction. 

Field Law (Canada: Alberta, Northwest Territories, Nunavut, Yukon) announced they have welcomed Alanna McCallion to their Calgary team. Alanna’s practice focuses on securities law. The firm also announced they have welcomed Michael Sharp to their Edmonton team as counsel. Michael practices in intellectual property (IP) and is dedicated to helping clients protect and commercialize their innovations.

Larkin Hoffman (US: Minnesota) announced the firm has launched a new ancillary service, Larkin Hoffman Public Affairs (LHPA), which will bring together the firm’s growing capabilities in government relations and public affairs, including association management, grassroots coordination and strategic communications.

McBrayer (US: Kentucky) announced the addition of Mari-Elise Paul. Her practice falls heavily in the area of intellectual property, from trademark and copyright clearance and prosecution to enforcement and litigation, but she also handles contract and license negotiation and enforcement and management of supply chain and energy transactions.

Robinson+Cole (US: Connecticut) announced partner Patrick Trostle has been appointed Honorary Consul to the Republic of Finland for the State of Connecticut. In this new role, Honorary Consul Trostle will serve as a liaison promoting and facilitating commercial and diplomatic relations between Finland and companies located in Connecticut. The firm also announced lawyer Ileana Polanco Cavazos was named to the Connecticut Coalition Against Domestic Violence (CCADV) First 100 Plus Class of 2024 during the organization’s 13th Annual Breakfast & Awards Ceremony on May 10, 2024, at the Hartford Marriott Downtown in Hartford, Connecticut.
