SCG Legal’s 2025 Midyear Meeting >> May 15 – 16 | Barcelona, Spain may have ended, but the knowledge we shared and connections we made will extend far beyond our recent time together.
Meeting Basics
Who Attended? 140 Members from 58+ Firms representing 37 Countries and a third of the U.S. state Members!
This was the largest Midyear Meeting in SCG Legal’s history. In addition to the meeting, the pre-event agenda involved a dedicated practice group Corporate/Mergers & Acquisition (M&A) meetup.
The formal meeting agenda had a wide-range of panels and presentations, including: Global Litigation: Emerging Trends, Challenges & Client Strategies; Navigating Change: Forecasting The Trump Administration’s Impact On The U.S. & The Global Legal Landscape; Preparing For AI: Practical Considerations For Law Firms And Clients; The Global Reach Of U.S. Tech Policy; Legal Finance Litigation Funding: Unlocking Financial Opportunities For Law Firms; Partnering For Success With Clients: Cross-Border Collaborations & Matter Management Opportunities; Employment Law In A Changing World: Adapting To New Realities And Emerging Risks; Cyber Threat & Cyber Resilience In The Legal Sector: A Step-By-Step Presentation On How Not To Get Hacked; Shifting ESG Priorities: Regulatory Compliance & Sustainability In A Changing Landscape. A highlight of the agenda was the keynote featuring Judith Jacob, Client Lead from Forward Risk, with a Normalizing Uncertainty presentation and a keynote from Josep Maria Martorell, Associate Director of Barcelona Supercomputing Center, his presentation focused on A New Decade of Supercomputing. This meeting also included several high-end networking events, as well as client meetings.

CLE Information
Click HERE for the information we submitted for 8.5 CLE credits, including the CLE form. SCG assists US member attorneys in complying with their state’s CLE requirements, including in Ohio where we are a pre-approved CLE sponsor. Outside of Ohio, all attorneys should apply individually to their states for credit and submit payment, if necessary, directly to the applicable state CLE authority. Please email Membership Coordinator Erin Kane (ekane@scglegal.com) with questions or for assistance with specific requirements to satisfy your state bar’s minimum continuing legal education (MCLE) guidelines.
